Dr. Steven Cranford
Dr. Steven Cranford

Since 1910, the doctors of our clinic have helped people with hemorrhoids and other debilitating rectal conditions - without hospital surgery. This specialty has been our sole focus during this time.

Anyone suffering with a rectal ailment is not alone. In the US, it is well established that over 50% of the adult population will at some point have a rectal ailment severe enough to require treatment. At any given time, an estimated 5% need treatment.

If you or someone you know is in this group, it's time to stop being in pain! Our low-invasive, low-pain treatment methods have succeeded in getting thousands of patients back to work and enjoying life again.

CONDITIONS WE TREAT

Hemorrhoids : What are hemorrhoids and why do they develop?  Through the years, we have developed the best non-surgical, low-pain treatment available for the most common rectal disease. (more)

Fissures : Searing pain – at times this is a debilitating condition. Fissures are tears in the anal/rectal lining and tend to form when hemorrhoids are already present.  We perform a uniquely effective treatment for this condition. (more)

Genital/Anal Warts : Caused by a virus, this is a bothersome condition, but we have many years experience treating it effectively. (more)

Constipation : When this common malady becomes chronic is when it becomes dangerous. Directly or indirectly, it underlies nearly all rectal disease. (more)

Anal Itching : Persistent itching is also called Pruritis Ani.  What it is and what it may indicate.  How we go about stopping it. (more)

Fistulas : Infected channels that extend outward from the rectal canal.  These can cause extreme pain but are quite accessible to treatment. (more)

Anal/Rectal Pain : There are many potential causes of pain in the anal/rectal area. This page will help you narrow down what condition is causing it. (more)

Rectal Bleeding : 75% of bleeding from the rectum is directly due to conditions of the anus and rectum, not the colon.  After a careful low-pain examination to determine the cause, we offer tried-and-true treatment options.  (more)

Inflamed Rectal Papillae : These little-known structures in the rectum can become inflamed and enlarged, causing pain and irritation. (more)

Anal Stenosis : A narrowing or tightening of the anal opening, which can cause a variety of other rectal conditions. (more)
