because the surgery may necessitate altering
my sphincter muscle. They also said that
I would probably miss at least a week of

imagine the psychological impact the thought

Within one minute of your having examined
me, you diagnosed my conditions. Within
ten minutes, you helped me to decide what treatments
would best cure my problems. Surgical treatment
of the fissure required the most post-operative
care. Realizing the pain commonly associated
with this surgical procedure, you told
me how to ensure my comfort while I healed.
Surprisingly, I did not endure much pain,
and I only lost 2 hours of sleep the duration
of my healing. Also, it surprised me, but
probably not you, that I had surgery Saturday
morning, and I worked the next Monday through
Friday, for 8 hours per day without incident.
